The Eighth Sister by Robert Dugoni

Thank you Amazon Publishing for the free book!

I have recently marveled at how vastly different my reading tastes have been lately, compared to the reading I did in high school and college (at least that which wasn't required reading). I LOVED thrillers. Loved them! I couldn't get enough of those paperbacks, easy to toss in your pool bag or stash in a purse to read while you were supposed to be babysitting (honesty!). It was during this time that I also fell in love with legal thriller movies, spy movies (The Saint! The Witness! Patriot Games!). I would stay up late on a summer night watching movies I had checked out from the library, not worried about a single thing other than maybe if I was going to the pool the next day.

When I saw Robert Dugoni's The Eighth Sister and read the synopsis I was instantly taken back to those summer days by the pool reading thrillers I couldn't put down. I had to get this book! It is going on my summer reading TBR in hopes that recreating a little of those lazy summer days pre kids will jumpstart my excitement for the summer (with kids! ha!).

The Eighth Sister is out now on Amazon! Definitely check it out if you need a fast paced thriller for the summer! Amazon Publishing has an amazing line up of summer titles, be sure to check them out!

Heres a quick synopsis of The Eighth Sister:

Former CIA case officer Charles Jenkins is a man at a crossroads: in his early sixties, he has a family, a new baby on the way, and a security consulting business on the brink of bankruptcy. Then his former bureau chief shows up at his house with a risky new assignment: travel undercover to Moscow and locate a Russian agent believed to be killing members of a clandestine US spy cell known as the seven sisters.
Desperate for money, Jenkins agrees to the mission and heads to the Russian capital. But when he finds the mastermind agent behind the assassinations—the so-called eighth sister—she is not who or what he was led to believe. Then again, neither is anyone else in this deadly game of cat and mouse.
Pursued by a dogged Russian intelligence officer, Jenkins executes a daring escape across the Black Sea, only to find himself abandoned by the agency he serves. With his family and freedom at risk, Jenkins is in the fight of his life—against his own country.
